Meditation is the most exploited word during these days. Whether we know about it or not, atleast we are talking about this beautiful word. When I started learning dance, I was so fasinated that even while doing my daily chores, dance sequences and dance notations were running in the background of my mind. At that time knowing nothing about meditation and excited about my new adventure, I started telling everyone that dance is more than meditation. However meditation is in itself full, there is no more to it.
My kids play piano and when playing they are so engrossed that they forget everything around. Their faces always shine when they play. They definitely seem to be in a ruminative state. I feel any form of creative art like music, dance, writing, painting etc., is very close to meditation. The process clears our mind of everything except the art. I think that opens a door to meditation. It is said that in meditation nothing remains, neither you nor the other. So the artist has to reach that point. No one can teach us how to do it. It can not be told. It is to be found out or it may happen itself.
